Chapter:
Prelude
There once was a father, who lost all that he had
There once was an immortal, who lost all he loved
There once was a god, who in his great pain
lost his heart.
There once was a god, who lost a heart.
There once was a sorcerer, who coveted a heart
There once was a mage, who stole the god’s heart
There once was a warlock, who in his immortality,
lost his love.
There once was a sorcerer, who became a tyrant.
There once was a band of misfits, who had stop a tyrant
There once was a band of oddities, who became champions
There once was a band of heroes, who in defeating a god,
lost their lives.
There once was a band of friends, who saved the world.
There once was a god…

The Poem of Heroes
Excerpt from the Book of Legends
Located in the Grand Library of Observers
There were three men, standing in the Grand Library. Thousands of book shelves lined the walls, of the great dome. At the center, was a table, made of pure obsidian. Each man was sitting in a chair, at this table. One man had the garb of the Holy Temple of Mishra. His robes were pure white, with the collar lined in gold. He was an elderly man, and his face was lined with wrinkles, as if the man had laughed much during his life. The next man was dressed as a librarian, of the one they currently were in. His robes were plain brown, with a belt made of rope. This man was also old, and his face made him look rather mouse-like. The last man was rather an oddity. He wore an all black suit, denoting that he was part of the Guild of Blades. The odd thing was his hat. It looked rather silly. It was what appeared to be a giant top hat, meant to fit over ones head. On it, were two holes, for the eyes, in which two navy blue eyes stared out of. The eyes, though looking human enough, still seemed to lack something inside of them.
