Consequence of Dealing with Indifference
Inside the machine the gears grind and whine
She watches all the people watch her as she passes by
(She’ll eat you alive.)
The hate she bred made her heart turn black
Now she’s replaced by wires and there’s no going back
(She’ll dig down inside.)
Now every man she invites inside she makes them just like her
A whirring wasteland of decay where no emotions stir
(She’ll make it all go away.)
You made the mistake, you drank her potion
So how does it feel to longer be real?
You’ve passed over the hill they called emotion
What do you see when you’re on the other side?
A land of nothing with nowhere to hide
And as you look back to where you used to be
It’s blurry because what has taken over doesn’t want you to see
And it’s a consequence
A consequence of dealing with indifference
