She crawled onto her bed, the springs biting into her palms and knees bitterly before she sank down on top of the covers piled in the corner. She closed her eyes and shivered, trying not to think of the cold outside that made her body ache, instead choosing to focus on the cold inside. Try to be happy. Try to be warm. Try to sleep.
