- In a far away land, many miles from here, there is a desert. In the middle of this desert grows a thorn less rose, the only beauty for miles around. When the sun rises, its rays beat down on the rose, but it persists. When the glorious moon rises, the desert rose welcomes the cool, but still it is lonely… Until, in the distance, a person is visible. He sees the rose, and tends to it. He blocks out the harsh rays of the sun during the day, and warms the beauties red rose in the night. He waters it when it becomes thirsty and drowns its loneliness with company. He braves the desert for the rose, and nothing else.
