my mother named me JORDAN, my father can burn in Hell.
i named myself BRAD.
NO, it isn't a rebellion against my mother. i'm not going through the whole "you-don't-own-me-so-you-can't-name-me" phase.
BRAD (or rather, Bradley) was the name of the man who signed his name on my birth certificate, who raised me as his own, and who taught me the lessons that molded me into the teenage adolescent that i am today.
Weldon Scott Baker was never there.
Bradley Dwain Phillips was.
and that is my "daddy tribute".

i'm fifteen years young.
and i don't give a ******** about that episode of Family Guy, i said it first.
i don't drive, and i can't work.
i'm unintentionally arrogant at times, oblivious to things that don't interest me, and i can be a real a*****e, too.
but i recognize and admit my flaws. that, i believe is the first step towards perfection.

now, i'm not saying that i AM perfect. in fact, i'm saying quite the opposite.
there is no such thing as perfect.
to be perfect means, "to be without flaw; flawless".
everybody has some kind of flaw.
you have a skin condition. your hair has split ends. one of your tits is bigger than the other.
you apologize too much. you forgive too easily. you hear voices in your head that tell you to kill your loved ones (provided you actually HAVE "loved ones" wink .
one way or another, you are flawed.
YOU ARE IMPERFECT.
but then again, i believe everything in existence has an exact opposite.
every action has an equal and opposite reaction -- newton's laws of motion.
so if this is true, if everything in existence has an exact opposite, then imperfection can't possibly exist, because perfection doesn't exist.
so, i guess what i said before about "the first step towards perfection" REALLY MEANS "the first step towards nothing".
fitting, i suppose. we're all headed to the grave anyway.

i guess what i'm trying to say is, in the end, we're all just people. we're all human.
I AM A PERSON. I AM HUMAN.
but you already knew that.
so, unless you thought i was a platypus or something, this last section was completely pointless.

i enjoy drawing. A LOT.
it's a sort of passion, i suppose.
if a random image enters my train of thought, it's almost OCD -- i have to draw it on something.
i've made it a habit of mine, to have a piece of paper and a mechanical pencil handy at all time.
these peices of paper are eventually filled. people ask if they can have them.
i take a picture of my work, and give them the original.

writing is also an obsession of mine.
poems. lyrics. stories.
a number of my literary works are featured in my MySpace blog.
when i write lyrics, i DO sing them, record them, and upload the .wav file to my MySpace Music account.
there is a noticeable lack of instrumentals, however.
writing music isn't a strong suit of mine.
i am in dire need of a band.
guitar. bass. drums. perhaps keyboard.
or, if you're already in a rising-star band, why not buy my lyrics?

and i've had all my works copyrighted, so i'd love to see you try and steal them.

i get bored very easily, meaning: i'm constantly doing something.
i have a million-and-one projects i'm always working on.
i'm making a baby crib mobile out of Monster cans. i built a personal skate spot in my bedroom. and now, due to the icy weather of LakeHOOD, i'm building a snow fort on the side of my house with my friends.

music = life.
i can't live life without a soundtrack.
i literally listen to everything.
rock. rap. pop. r&b. punk. classical. hip-hop. metal. screamo. techno.
and everything in between.

take me to an orchestra. take me to a rave.
take me to MUSIC.
from personal experience, i've learned that music...
can make you smarter.
can make you stronger.
can pump you up.
can calm you down.
can change your beliefs.
