Some where in the darkness of the indigenous hardwood forest, an animal shouted its last bone chilling cry. Followed only by the sounds of satisfied growls as whatever had caused the cries, devoured its kill. A few minutes after the predator had finished its kill the song of the forest returned, with a chorus from the forest floor. Thousands of flesh eating beetles worked hard to build their mounds. Forming little cities from the earth along with the bones of their kills for support. Not too far away a lesser dragon stumbled into what looked to be quicksand. As it sank deeper into the loose soil a row of teeth erupted around it about an inch away in every direction. The animal screamed in terror as the jaws of the sand worm clenched upon its flesh. As it was dragged down into the sand a man on the edge of the forest finally exited its perilous grasp, and headed for the mansion that occupied the deforested area.
As he neared the mansion it could be seen that this youth was no ordinary traveler. A strange firearm hung at his left hip from a belt with many compartments, that varied in size and shape. An infant sized skull clasp added to the morbid air of this Gothic warrior. His high collared, black leather bio-mechanical suit and matching long coat rivaled the blackest shade of midnight. His hands were covered with cloth gloves, jewels hung in gypsy-esque strings that adorned his hands and hung from the hilt of the longsword across his back, beset with onyx and sapphire gems. A mystic shade of blue bejeweled the pendant that hung loosely from his neck, matching one upon the band of his long brimmed travelers hat. The man's silver hair fell in waves, down to the skull clasped utility belt just visible within the opening of the coat. His eyes looked upon her like two sapphires in the night, set within his porcline skin.
Climbing the steps of the entryway, he reached for the knob with a black gloved hand and pushed open the door. It groaned on its hinges, protesting its own compliance, as he stepped into the main hall. As soon as the youth was completely inside the manor the door slammed shut with a bang, causing the traveler to turn about sending the hem of his coat fluttering in a great circle as he drew his sword with remarkable speed. It was then that the door latched with a fatal metallic click.

"I wouldn't sleep here." A low toned masculine voice warned. It seemed to come from all directions at once. However, a dark shadow of a man matterialized out of the forest. His black leather biomechanical suit and matching long coat rivaled the blackest shade of midnight. His hands were covered with cloth gloves, jewels hung in gypsy-esque strings that adorned his hands and hung from the hilt of the longsword across his back. A mystic shade of blue bejeweled the pendant that hung loosely from his neck, matching one upon the band of his long brimmed travelers hat. A youth in black clothing had been following the crimson trail found near his own room. He was unsetteled by the amount of blood he'd found on a now ruined blue velvet bedspread. His pace had quickened noticably after finding that room, whoever was bleeding couldnt know of the dangers of the mannor. As he rounded a corner he heard a soft voice, and rushed in the direction it came from. Slowly, the youth came into the light from a window, his golden hiar under his black travelers hat shining in the moonlite. Twin gems, one on his hat and the other on a pendant, shown a dark blue, as his grey eyes peered from below the brim. His porcline colored face was the only part of his body uncovered. A biomecanical suit that adjusted to the weather was covered with a long coat. He wore cloth gloves and worn boots that lightly thudded on the floor with each step. "Are you alright miss?" he asked in a rusty voice, slowing his pace having found who he was looking for.

A youth trudged up the road toward the mansion carrying a saddle over his shoulder. A long brimmed hat covered his face and a cascade of waist length golden curls. A longcoat fluttered in the slight breeze and revealed a bio mechanical suit with a skull clasp belt. All of these coverings were as black as midnight, illuminated only by the moonlight. There was a splash of color from a pendant around his neck that shown an eery blue. His trejectory suggested he was headed straight for the mansion.

The sky around the mansion permeated torrents of rain as the storm grew in intensity. A young man sloshed his way through the run off as he made his way toward the shelter of the mannor. Every step of his boots sloshed water onto his clothes, but that mattered little. The down poor had already soaked him to the bone in spite of the heavy long coat. The collar was upturned to shield the lower half of his face from the elements, the long brimmed travelers hat purched upon his golden head sheilded his grey eyes.
As he neared the entrance it could be seen that this youth was no ordinary traveler. A strange firearm hung at his left hip from a belt with many compartments, that varied in size and shape. An infant sized skull clasp added to the morbid air of this gothic warrior. Strapped across his back was an arced longsword of unknown origion, beset with onyx and sapphire jems. Climbing the steps of the entryway, he was drenched anew by the cascading fall from the eves. He reached for the knob with a black gloved hand and pushed open the door. It groaned on its hinges, protesting its own compliance, as he stepped into the main hall. As soon as the youth was completely inside the mannor the door slammed shut with a bang, causing the traveler to turn about, sending an arc of water from his clothes in every direction and drawing his sword with remarkable speed. It was then that the door latched with a fatal matallic click.
