Before Ganonede became a country, a powerful dragon towered over it atop mt. Seele. Feasting on villages and livestock, the dragon went on unchallenged for generations.
One day the elders of the largest village, Freiheit, decided to send a band of their strongest worriors to kill the Imortal Dragon furcifer. Before the idea left the elders hut, the youngest child of the chief elder burst in requesting permission slay the dragon alone. The elder were reluctant to grant his request because he was barely a man and the only son of ten of a withering heroic bloodline. It was that bloodline that deemed him suitable for the journy.
As Latet Fulmine left Freiheit, He remembered the times when his family would visit their grandfather deep in the forrest and listen to his stories of their ancestors.
"your ancestors were not originaly men, oh no, they were beasts. Cast out from the earth to protect the flow of life from man, green skins, and other ceatures straying from the laws of nature. They were the biggest threat to civilization, until they found mates in humans and bore beautiful children deemed Bestiola. The mating prosses made our forefathers mortal and slowly they disapeared. Although they were gone, our ancestors mission was past down their bloodline along with a semi-immortal longevity."
Villagers entered the forest almost everyday Hunting, foraging, collecting building material, and fishing at the river.
