A few hours have passed since Zidane and his friends arrived in Besaid. During that time, they introduce themselves to everyone. Vivi, Freya, and Beatrix help Lulu babysitting Vidina. Tidus was telling Zidane everything about blitzball while Wakka was teaching him how to play. Eiko and Rikku pretty much hung out together as they were trying to annoy Paine who was reading a book. As for Dagger, she was inside the temple looking at all of the statues when Yuna came out from one of the rooms.
Yuna: Hey, Dagger. Are you enjoying your stay?
Dagger turned away from the man-like statue and looked at Yuna.
Dagger: Yeah, this place is really peaceful and the people are nice too.
Yuna:*smiles* I'm glad you said that. So what were you doing?
Dagger:I'm just studying over these statues. What's all this about?
Yuna: Well, it's kind of a long story. So I'll be brief.
Yuna told Dagger about the machina war between Bevelle and Zanarkand 1000 years ago, in which Sin came into being as it brings destruction across the land. Then she told her how summoners, along with her guardians, went on a pilgrimage to go to every temple in Spira to gather Aeons. In order for Sin to be destroyed, they must summon the Final Aeon.
Dagger: Did the Final Aeon defeat Sin?
Yuna shook her head sadly.
Yuna: No, Sin just keep coming back each time the Calm. You see, whenever a summoner defeats Sin, they bring forth--
Before Yuna could finished her sentence, the temple began to shake.
Dagger: What's happening?!
Yuna:*shaking her head* I don't know. But it sounds like it came from the Cloister of Trials.
Dagger: The Cloister of Trials?
Yuna: I'll explain later, now let's go.
Yuna and Dagger started walking towards the Cloister of Trials began looking for the cause of the temple to shake.
Dagger: How much farther till we reach the bottom?
Yuna: Just another platform and we'll be almost there.
Dagger took out her staff while Yuna took out her pistols as they're preparing for whatevery lurks on the otherside of the door.
Yuna:*look over to Dagger* Are you ready?
Dagger:*nodded her head* I'm ready.
Yuna nodded her head as they step upon the moving platform and came across the final door.
Yuna:*tooks a deep breath* Okay, here goes nothing.
She opens the door as they notice there was a mysterious woman wearing a red cloak that even covers her face. There was also a red aura surrounded her, one in such Dagger and Yuna never came across before. Yuna and Dagger steps up as they confronts the woman.
