So I started using Tinder.
I guess I like it so far. I feel as though the sexual harassment everyone talks about that goes on there is a bit exaggerated. There's always guys (and girls) like that on dating sites, you just need to weed them out.
Somehow, I've been getting a lot of people who go to expensive schools, like Northeastern, BU, BC, Harvard, Emerson, Berklee, and I always end up being interested in them for some reason.
I have run across people from both my high school and college as well on there. One of which I did swipe interested, though I don't think she'll do the same but eh, it's worth a shot.
So far I've run into only one creepy convo. Paraphrased lines include these gems:
"That sounds yummy, just like you."
(when I say I only see emojis on my iPod) "What about topless photos? Only on your iPod too?"
"Who says I want to get to know you? Let's just do it." (I'm not positive what "it" is? Sex or just an exchange of naked photos?)
This may very well be a shot into the dating game which I've somehow never been included in.
I did have a pretty good conversation with this guy who I believe goes to my school, is only a year older than me, and shares similar political opinions, and I want to give him a shot. Maybe I'll talk to him some more in the morning.
I also met a guy who claims to be the brother of these girls I know from middle school, though I didn't think they had a brother? Hopefully he won't tell his sisters he was talking to me, that is, if he actually is their brother.
It's actually sort of addicting. It's also plenty easy to use, but also different from the traditional setup of other social networks, specifically for dating or otherwise,
