For my English oral report I'm doing a paper on orthodoxy (not the religion, the concept in a societal and cultural context), entitled, "Orthodoxy: The Self-Destructive Memetic Complex". Basically, throughout the paper I rant pretty much constantly about the sickening shell of a society orthodoxy and the mutually inclusive desire to assume the 'unorthodox' stance has made the modern world.
The concept that one should be judged on extraneous and superfulous aspects of their character and personality is a destructive trend throughout society and has plagued the human race for its entire existence. It aggravates me every chance it gets in 'natural' society, manifesting as any one of its many incarnations, but always showing the same key properties. Prejudice, rejection, alienation... They all stem from the unecessary and essentially evolutionarily counter-productive desire to force conformity of foreign and 'radical' etities. It threatens constantly to tear society apart at the seems, and has before. It is unrelenting, emphasizing and pronounciating the differences between individuals in a society and sowing the seeds of destruction and chaos... Its own, in fact. Equalization just to be torn down by the rejectful nature of humanity, dividing and abrasively reorganizing society until it reaches its epitome: genocide...
The blind following the deaf, follwing the dumb... All for the sake of conformity (or anticonformity, it makes no difference).
It comes down to this: be yourself, not what anyone tells you to be, and not what they tell you not to be... Unless you choose as such. Don't be a sheep, blindly following the shepard, only to be herded off a cliff or into the slaughter house. Make your own decisions; don't let society be your dictator!

Inner thought, outward projection, and personal reflection...
Random thoughts whenever I get around to it... Wouldn't suggest reading it since I'm boring/weird anyway.
