Well it's now Oct. 12, and it's been a month and a half since I've last written. My party was a hit, I got a lot of really thoughtfull presents, and everyone had a lot of fun. I am now a fresman in high school, and boy is it different then middle school. We have 6 week grading periods, and it ends tomorrow. My parents are really strict about my grades, I have to have straight A's, otherwise my computer gets taken out of my room.
I am concertmaster of my orchestra, and I am really proud about that. When I first found out I was really excited, and orchestra is my favorite class now because of that. We are playing the Prelude from the Holburg sweet, Andante Festivo, and my favorite piece so far....PIRATES OF THE CARRIBIAN!!!! pirate pirate pirate pirate pirate It's kind of sad, but the freshmen are a lot quieter, and pay much closer attention to Mr. H then the upperclassmen. It gets frustrating sometimes because of that.
I also am in a youth symphony, and that's going great as well. I'm an outside violinist, and the music isn't that bad, there are some tricky parts, but I haven't been practicing them, so they are still hard. We are playing the American Salute, the Rosimunde Overture, Norwegan Dances 2 + 3 by Greig, and Procession of the Nobels from Mlada. All the pieces are really fun, but the most dificuld piece is the American Salute. There's this one part where the first violins are up in 7th position, playing the melody at what seems like the speed of light.
I am also in One Act, which is a drama compition featuring one act plays. This year my team is doing an adaptation of "The Tin Can People." It's a play talking about the survivors of a nuclear holocaust, and how they survive off of cans of tinned food. When a new man comes in, the peaceful people welcome him, but they change their mind when people start suddenly dropping dead. We're only doing the first act, which is up to the part of the first mystery death, which happens to be my character, 3rd woman. It's a really powerful play, and we are really broadcasting a message of "WE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF WAR!!! Look at what could happen to us if we keeep this up." I'm having a lot of fun, and I can't wait till our first compition next Wensday.
My favorite line from the play is " Paradise was built in the ruins of hell, which is its only possible foundation. So we were lucky."

Well it's been a few months since I've written in my journal. Today is Aug. 30, my aunt Joan's birthday, and the day before my birthday. I've been really busy planning a party, seeming how I haven't had one since we moved into town. It's going to be really big, as far as a sleep over goes. 12 of my friends are coming over, so I'm going all out for this. We went shopping today, i got a huge bag of Reeses Peices, a bag of M&M's, five bags of chips, at least nine two liters of different sodas, a gallon of vanilla ice cream, a gallon of chocolate, and a lot more. Joan's fiance Kurt is flying Dad, and two of his sisters out for Joan's 50th birthday, so dad won't be here for my party. I feel bad for Mom, she's got to supervise this entire thing. She'll probably hide in her room while we, meaning me and my friends, take over the bonus room. There will be a lot of fun, some DDR, (The best game in the world), and a lot of girl talk.I can't wait!!!! xd whee mrgreen

I suck at catching bugs. I'm trying to get one of those little cat plushies, but my hopes are slim. I'm trying a contest, to be the first person to post on page 1000 of a fourm, and were in the 960's, so I'm getting close. Outside of Gaia, my arm is sore, I had to get a flu shot, and it was tourture. I have a slight fear of needles, so I normally cry when I get any type of shot. But, I'm proud to say I didn't cry, my eyes watered a little bit, but I did't cry at all. I've come up with nicknames for my hamsters, my dwarf one is Sweetie, my spotted ove is Chirper, and my white one is Houdini. They are so cute. I didn't practice yesterday, my arm was sore from the flu shot and it hurt to lift my upper arm any. I sat on the computer till eleven last night, wich is late for me, and I slept through the night. I played in a local youth synphonies concert last Sunday, and I have to admit it was the best concert I've ever played in. And for once, we weren't the worse sounding orchestra, wich is sad, seeming how we are the least advanced. We still haven't gone to see Harry Potter yet, because we were planing to take my granpa, but he's snowed in over in Michigan. It's a nice relaxing day at my house, which is nice, seeming how I'm always busy. I've started archery club, and the Madrigal dinner is coming up at my school, so I'm busy with that.

This is my third day at Gaia, and I'm having a lot of fun. I made some new friends in the fourms. I hope it will turn out well. Yesterday I tried my hand at fishing, and lets just say, I SUCKED!!!! Oh well, maybe I'll try my hand at catching some bugs.
