Wow, reading through my old journal entries reminded me of how Oatmeal used to be. I can't believe I had a fully free ranged rat. He wouldn't even go into his cage, especially that last day, he was on the bed the whole day covered up in a blanket (he got under it himself) and when I did see him come out from under it I knew something was wrong, he'd walk and then stop then stumble a bit to try to get to the side where I could see him. His lips were blue and it looked like he was having trouble breathing :/ He had a seizure and died during it >: November 17th, 2007.

Me and Matt moved out of the icky apartment and into a nicer one, but the landlords were assholes and kept unlocking our apartment door and coming in unannounced, so we moved again -.-.

While in that apartment though, we got a cat, Shii sometime in July, and six baby rats *.* (Panda, Pepper, Smudge, Yuki, The Bumble and Tarou). The Bumble is the fattest one out of them all and I think I love him the most, just because he's so fat x3; Smudge is a close runner up with being my favourite though, he's the only one that gives licks and doesn't try to run away with my finger when I put it through the cage bars. None of them like being out around with me, which makes it hard for me to socialize with them :/ But when I first got them, I would open the top cage door and they would all come out and climb into my shirt. Bunch of perverts! lol. They're all brothers, Matt bought them for me on Christmas last year, I almost cried when he told the cashier at the pet store that he'd buy the whole cage of rats that were in the window. I had to leave his side and walk up the aisle a bit with my head down lol. Hate being so emotional x.x; But, yay, six little fur kids~ <3 and Shii doesn't bother them all that much anymore, she was curious at first, but she's afraid of them now xD. They go after her paws if they're out on the bed with her. Hopefully they all won't die in the same year like Oreo, Oatmeal and Tupuff did. That was too many deaths for one year >: They don't seem to have signs of myco though, since we got them fairly young and had them on carefresh when we bought them, so they were really only on pine shavings for however long they were in the pet store (2 months before they can sell baby rats?).

Shii likes to get in the cage with them, since we had the bars part set up as her bed for a few months before we got the rats, so she's thinking it's her house and they took it xD. We had it placed on the floor and her blanket thrown in on bottom, and another blanket thrown over the top so that it was kinda dark in there and just opened the door and that's where she spent all of her time~. She's a little cutie too. She was so scared of us when we first got her and stayed up the whole first night meowing, and used to run when we'd walk towards her. She still does run somewhat if we walk towards her, so I'm thinking that her previous owner must have chased her or something :/ She used to get in bed with us and bite my elbows, but now she'll just lick them if I'm smoothing her down. And if she lays on my side when I go to bed, she has to touch flesh. My face, arm, shoulder, anything lol. She's such a sook(nfld word) though, if I leave the room and keep the door closed, she'll bawl, because she can't follow me around lol.

I should go though, because it's uber uber late and I wanna get up and go over my parent's house today x.x; (I'll probably end up not going due to being lazy >.< )
