So I've sold off my Walther's 10-Car BN Passenger Train set. Sad I know, but there's a reason. I bought a 19 Car custom painted Cascade Green/White Hockey Stick stripe set at the local train show today. These vary from W&R Enterprises (Columbia River Business Car, the one on the business fleet is in executive colors) to Shoreham Car Shops and Railway Classics. I even have a Full Dome painted up in Glacier View, before she was reshopped into the theater inspection end (which I have in Plastic/Executive Paint).

I say 19 because I just finished paying off my pre-order, today, for my Overland Models Steam Generator Cars. GN Big Sky Blue, BN Hockey Stick Stripe, and Amtrak Phase I for a set I'm building to sell on ebay. The train will be pulled by my pair of SDP-45's. It is a long train and it will only run on special occassions. Most of the time, unlike my predecessor train sets, it will sit in the passenger yard that is being built into the layout. This is to be broken up into 3 tracks to split the cars up. These cars will stay with these cars. I even have the 3 baggage cars saved from the amtrak take over back in 1971. The Business Train sits on it's normal staging track since it's only 9 cars long.

These cars can be identified from normal passenger by one simple detail: The Hockey Stick Stripe on the business cars is a straight white line with no curve (where-as the passenger trains had the curve on the sides). I did have to take a small loan out from of all people, my brother, but that's okay. I'll pay him back quickly. This is an xmas present to my hubby. So I wanted to grab this while I could. They do not have lighting, so I have ordered 18 DCC Lighting Kits and Tail lamp kits. Right now they are tucked away where no one will find them but me.
