Crunch. I jump back. What was that?! I thought to myself. I continued walking in the darkness. I was scared, I had no idea where I was, or where I was going. I looked around trying to find some hint of moonlight...no such luck. I kept walking in what I thought was a straight line. I felt something warm and sticky under my paw. I froze in my tracks. I lifted my paw tp my nose, sniffed then gagged. Blood. I thought. I tried to wipe it off my paws but I just kept wiping them in more blood. I heard a twig snap behind me. I bolted foward, running as fast as I can. I can hear the thundering of huge paws hitting the ground behind me...someone was chasing me. I ran faster. I looked behind me then stopped. I felt a huge crushing pain in my side then I landed hard on the ground. I lashed out at the form above me trying unsuccessfully to strike it. I felt the figures claws rip into my ribs then...I woke up from my dream. I looked around my room. My body was shaking and covered in sweat/ I must have been screaming because I heard footsteps running up the stairs. My mom jerked the door open. "Demetra are you okay?" She asked. There was panick in her voice and she looked like she had seen a ghost(even though her skin was pale enough as is). I nodded totally lying. "Mom I'm fine." She looked at me. "Okay, well you need to get ready." I clearly had an odd expression on my face. "Today is your first day of high school"
