I'm not too sure what to make of it all. I mean, sure, I'm excited. I'm going to university! What more could I ask for? And it'll definitely be fun for sure. Still, I had that lingering apprehension when I was packing my bags thinking, 'This is it. I'm really leaving home.'
Home is a place dear, or not so dear to all of us. For me, it was a particulary dear place, where I spent hours playing the Playstation 3, on the internet, listening to music, eat, drank, and slept. I've been in this home for about 4 years now. Still, what is it that makes a house a home?
That winning answer would be the people who occupy it. In my case, that would be my family. I guess there's the element of uncertainty of me going into the big unknown without my parents behind me to lend a helping hand. Then again, I'm old enough to know, or at least think to know, what I'm doing. I'm going to embrace this new found independence and party like there's no tomorrow for my first week at university!
