A Meadow’s Gift
Gazing in the meadow,
A faint whisper caresses thy face,
You pause to listen,
All the while staring up to the heavens.
The stars smile down on you,
As you accept their praise with desire,
Lust for this peace fills your heart,
For it is a rarity amidst your life.
You lie gently among the flower beds,
Closing your eyes,
To hear the song of nature,
That dances within your soul.
Silence brushes over your mind,
Wipes away troublesome thoughts,
All you may think of are gentle memories,
That lay hidden beneath your stress.
For all the kindness this meadow shows,
You thank them with one wish,
To hold fast to this moment,
That has shown you such sweet bliss.
Oh yea I worte this in 2 mins in the morning before school one day. It was kind of no big deal....just...rushed haha
