OK here we go.
Always check the mp for prices first.
Look in the exchange for sales. If you see an item that is 10-50k each try and buy it at a lower price then the mp up to 1k to as low as you can get k
Then you take that item and sell it in the marketplace[[mp]] and when it sells. 1k or more then you paid. But always remember the gaia tax cut. It cuts into everyones profits so try and work around it by doing your math. Multiply the exact cost you will sell it for by .02 [[ This isn't a necessary constant thing until you are selling things that cost 1000k and up. But think like this for now. Sell an item for 50k in the mp and thats 1k taxed. 100k is 2k taxed. ex]]
Eventually you will be able to purchase bigger items and make more selling them.
You will need about 20k roughly to get started. To make money you have to have it first. So take that quest moneyz that you've been saving and help it grow on your own.
Place it in the mp for however much you want for it. But don't undercut. That will make the price deflate. Undercutting is if the LMP is 20k and you post yours for 19,999g for example.[[[lowest market price is what LMP stands for.]]
Always look right under the picture of the item you plan on buying
There's a thing that says Show Graphs click that.
It shows you how much of the item is sold a day or month. And how much the price is when its bought. [[Very handy tool.]]
First off. Never buy anything made in zomg. They can be infinitely made so they constantly deflate.[[Lose Price]]
Also never buy EI's[[Evolving Items]] unless they are 1st gen and still evolving.
Now here's our test time

Lets pretend I'm selling a water meat set.
Now you offer.

First off say 13k. Makes it shorter so you can get it typed in faster then the competitors
k =000 added on
And when you offer don't offer too low or else they will just ignore you. And if they don't someone else will outbid you.

19k? [[This process is called haggling. Not everyone is out to bargain with you but it is in your best interest to try. Unless they say it's a fixed price. They will not budge. So either buy from them at that price or bounce. If its not a price you like then I suggest leaving and finding something else.]]

You should have said more around 18k.
That way either they will accept or will ask you for 18.5k
Only resort to .5k if your close to the end of a bid. Or if someone outbids you.
So you will offer 18k

Ok deal. Send trade.
Send a trade. This was your first buy.
18k in the trade.
Then sell it in the mp for however much you please.
But make sure it's under the LMP
