Thought I'd post up a poem I want to try and submit to Gaia-Zine.
A Tribute to Death
by ~KyotoAngel (a.k.a: DarkPoetOfRivendell on dA)
In the mirror looms the face of Death,
your neck tingles from his icy breath.
Where on a mortal eyes should be,
in Death's visage lies a black bottomed sea.
He becons you with his bony finger,
and you no longer care to linger.
We're naught but flesh and in the end,
Death becomes your only friend.
He guides you to Heaven's gates,
where, I assume an angel waits.
The dying day destined since the day you're concieved,
and drawing ever closer than you'd dare to believe.
Life may be short but never is death, which is endless as time made still.
Everything lifeless, frozen as if by some evil's will.
You hover, watching as life goes on,
despairing, knowing that you're gone.
Then you wait by the Heavenly door until by some cruel twist of fate
a loved one dies to end that wait.
