Last night, just staring off into space.
I slowly drift to sleep
With my thoughts staring at you.
A shooting star shimmers by,
Making my wish,
I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep,
There at the twilight meadow,
With the moon shining brightly,
I lay soundly asleep,
Blanketed by the nightsky stars,
And guarded by the planets and constellations.
Just me and my dreams...
Scoping through my dreams,
There lay an ocean,
An ocean of dreams
Like looking far off into the horizon of a beach.
One dream was easily noticeable
A dream, a rose, lay floating amongst the "ocean".
The rose, slowly drawing images inside deep within it's essence,
Of two people,
Under the moonlight.
I had to write a poem for Language Arts with the little time we had. So I based a poem on one of my older poems, which you can find at my journal. Though freestyle poem, I still had restrictions for it, I had to put simile, metaphors, and personifications in it...
