Day 1 - Journey
I got to school at 7:45 am. Went and setted off on the coach at 8-sih. The drivers was Keith and...er...I forgot the other one's name ^^;;;
Stopped for a break for 15 mins at some stop between London and Dover. There was an arcade, but it was small, and the DDR machine was turned off ;_____; <//3
We got to Dover and waited over 30 mins to get on the ferry. When we got on we eplored around the ferry...I was gonne buy coffee but was afraid that I might get sea sick xd Crazy stuff happened on the ferry o.O;; The boys got chased by German girls, apparently one of em was offered £10 for a quickie rofl According to the boys, it was the highlight of the day xd There was 2 arcades there. I went on the car racing one...called "Out run" or something like that, for free. Cos there was still credit on there =O Got there after 1 hour. The water wasn't choppy which was good =]
Spent approx 2 hours in the coach and got to Lille and went shopping around for 30 mins rolleyes I didn't buy anything. I noticed there was a burger at McD's, that was Oriental related. I wanted to try one but forgot to >.>;;;;; And while in Lille we spotted so many pharmacies in the coach @.@;;; French people must've gotten sick very easily o.O
Went back on the coach, spent more than 3 hours on it...getting lost while searching for the Campanile hotel stressed People kept assuming that random run-down buildings were our hotel and that we were in the ghetto xd There were a lot of buildings with shutters in them o.O We went to some random Campanile hotel to ask for directions for the one we were going to. We couldn't stay at the Campanile hotel cos another school was in it. When we were looking for the hotel it was near the countryside of something...and people thought we had to go camping instead xd
After hours of travelling we got there at 10pm. Ate turkey with chips as main course and chocolate mousse with coconut for dessert ^^ <333 Got our keys afterwards...expected a room for 2 people in it, but we had to share a room with a year 11 which we made friends with =] So it was a room of 3.
The room was really cramped and small. There were 2 single beds and 1 floor bed. The bathroom was uber small D= </3 There was one wardrobe, that we hardly used. There was a French TV - apparently it can turn itself off cos the boys were watching football on it and it said Au Revoir and turned off... o.O
I used the bath tub, cos the shower came off the wall - no I did not break it...it was already broken D= <///3 The tub was really dirty &.& I washed it 2 times. It took me longer to take a bath cos I wasn't used to it. I also noticed that I forgot to pack some face wipes with me &.&;;
The beds...was horrible there were so many sheets, cos it was meant to hide the hairs and debris >.>;;;;;;; It was very un-hygenic. I had to use my own pillow to sleep on cos I thought the hotel pillow contained something dirty in it also >.>;;;;;; The bed was hard at first but when I lied on it sank a bit...it felt really odd &.&;; Slept at 12am-ish.
Day 2 - Paris
Woke up and forgot I was in France. Woke up to the morning call of my 2 friends talking to each other at 8am. I was supposed yo be ready by 8:30am for breakfast. I went to brush my teeth changed clothes etc. I also watched some French Kids TV, it had Titou Le Lapinou, the dog and hippo famous for their "In the jungle" song, Dora the Explorer and some creepy carrot announcing some competition. Came down 5-10 mins late for breakfast but had enough time to eat it all ^^ I had croissant with nutella spread, french baguette with double butter and cheese, and a small bread roll with chocolate in the middle, also 2 galsses of orange juice.
Setted off to Paris. It was suppose to take 15 mins to get there, but it took longer ¬.¬ I saw converses being sold for €4 in the supermarket as the coach passed by =O There were so many shops that I wanted to go to We got to this place where the main church of Paris is. We had 20 mins to browse in groups of more than 2. Beth, my friend, likes to stick to teachers a lot o.O She was stuck to Mr Flory when we were buying our lunch. I didn't browse much cos she had to wait for her lunch to be heated as well as other people, which sorta peed me off. I didn't buy lunch cos I didn't want to waste money and wasn't hungry either. But I did get to browse around during the last 5 mins, I still didn't buy anything though. When our browsing time was up my friend went off and crossed the road, I came 1 min later, cos I was deciding whether to or not to buy lunch and ended up not buying cos of the long queue. I crossed the road, up the steps, some black guy (not being racist) came up to me and said "Ni hao" and told me hold me pink finger up and took some string out. My french teacher, Ms Maurin, came and dragged me away from that guy and started having an agrument with that guy in french. Apparently that guy was a scammer. Along with a bunch of other people near that church, going up to random tourist people and asking them to hold out their pinky finger and start making a bracelet with the strings then ask the person to pay them for making those bracelets for an expensive price o.O I was pretty surprised and confused when that happened to me, the boys from my year assumed I was scared. Pfft, as if! Why should I? We then had to walk up a lot of stairs. When we got the the top where the church was we were all so tired @.@ &/3 I took lots of pictures near the church, since it was so high up I could almost see most of Poris, despite the light fog @.& Beth called me to come with her into the church but I didn't want to yet, cos I was still taking pictures and I assumed that she would wait for me, but didn't &.& We were suppose to stick together, so thats why I didn't get to go into the church mad stressed during the time on my own I just watched entertainment near the church. Some musicians and a skilled diablo guy. She came out with a self portrait of her for €10, not that I really care rolleyes Walked back down the stairs without panting in the end. Went into the coach ready for another tour of Paris while heading to the Eiffel tower at the same time ^^ We went past the red light district of Paris. I saw 3 shops named "SEX SHOP", a lap dance club, a club with a picture of a naked woman on the front and etc. All the boys wanted the coach to stop there o.O;;; Luckily we didn't, phew. Arrived at the Eiffel tower, went to toilet. In the toilets there was a sign saying "BEWARE PICKPOCKETS" from then on I was really alarmed and was over-protective over my bag xd Came out saw Beth waiting for me, walked down to Eiffel tower, on the way this old woman with dark hair and skin in asian-like fabric clothing came up to us and asked s if we understood english. We nodded. She held out a piece of paper to us, the paper said, "My name is Emerelda Yscath. I came to France 2 months ago with my brother. We are now separated. I'm cold and hungry. Can you give me some money?" We knew she was a scammer and refused to give her money, but she insisted on making us give her our money of any amount Some girls from our school noticed this and called out, "Don't ger her your money Julie!" then the woman walked away muttering "Don't giver her your money Julie" We were given 50 mins to browse around the grounds of Eiffel tower. There were army men armed with guns patrolling there. Apparently if one of em comes up to you and asks for our we had to go to the teachers and ask for our passports, cos our passports were in there custody. We saw the year 8 boys, stuck with em from some odd reason - well Beth did rolleyes The boys starting feeding the pidgeons crisps, Beth got scared of the pidegeons and fled. We sat down, some other scamming woman came to us, asked us if we knew english, we shook our heads and repeatedly said no, she walked away. The SAME woman we met near the toilets came up to us AGAIN, these scammers are idiots. Yet again she asks if we understood English. I was surprised that she didn't remember us o.O She asked us the same question again, do you understand english, I shook my head and started to speak in Cantonese. I went on blabbing in Cantonese about how much of a fool she was, I didn't understand English, how ugly she was etc. for 1 min xd It was fun teasing her =] She then walked away. When we went to our meeting point, everyone was talking about their experiences with the scammers. One of the boys, Josh, wanted to try and take the piece of paper out of the scammers hand and rip it apart right in front of her face xd heart I wanted to try it on the next scammer. Unfortunately no other scammer came after the idea came into mind emo We took the elevator to the very top - 3rd floor. Browsed around and took plenty of pics of the scenary. There were wax people of the people who designed the Eiffel tower. One of em had a striking resemblence to Mr Flory surprised xd Went back down from 3rd floor to 2nd floor by elevator. Browsed around the souvenir shop, waited for the lift to come...took ages and decided to walk to 1st floor from 2nd floor. It took a long time. We then couldn't be bothered waiting for the the lift from 1st floor to ground floor, so we yet again took the stairs rolleyes Approx. it took us 20 mins to get to groudn floor from 2nd to ground. As we walked down we saw other people from our school in the lift. And some other people from other schools walking up the stairs. I felt sorry for those who were walking up the stairs, they were already whining asking when are they gonne reach the top. We, as in me, Beth, Ms Maurin, Mr Hudson and Mr Flory were last to get to the coach since we took the stairs.
We were now heading to a shopping center. We were given more than 1 hour to browse around and shop. I bought some leg warmers, that I've always wanted to buy from eBay, for €4.90. I realy regret buying just of of these now. Cs the ones that I've bought were plain tan colour ones. The stripey ones were €1 more...should've bought a stripey one &.& We went to a toy shop then to the hypermarket/supermaket there. There were so many chocolate easter egg related stuff there @.@ &333 I bought a small white chocolate egg for 95 cents, and Beth bought a large 1kg chocolate easter egg from there for €7 @.@;;; We then went to the bakery section. Phoned my mum to ask how many baguettes and croissants she wanted. I bought a pack of 10 baguettes for €2.90 and 2 boxes of 20 croissants for €4.70 each. Spending around €13 at the supermarket. Walked out feeling like an idiot cos the bags were heavy and looked like it was about to rip apart. We dropped off our shopping in the coach. Went back into the shopping center for dinner in the restautrant next to the supermarket. The people working there looked quite surprised when we got there. I had a salad, chicken, chips, potato balls with tomato sauce, chocolate mousse and a tropical drink. Josh made weird assumptions about the chocolate mousse, such as someone going into the toilet meant they wanted seconds on the chocolate mousse desert. I also mentioned that the mousse was warm...which then almost made me feel sick &.&
We then went bowling. My friend being an idiot, took her chocolate egg with her into the bowling alley cos it was melting when she could've left it on the shelf in the coach rolleyes We gone into random teams, my team contained me, Beth, Sophie, Bradley, Josh and Asher. Our lane was next to the boys from my year, they were well annoying &.& The kept hitting on me, as a joke, but it really annoyed me so I bottled up all my anger...and soon enough I had to let it out onto one of em by punching him in the stomach as he got near. It felt good x] After we finished bowling we had enough time to chill around the pool/snooker area near the lanes or play a game of pool.
We got back to the hotel at 11-ish. Sarah, the one who shares the room with me and Beth and is in year 11, worked out how to work the shower and I had a good hair wash and shower =] We were told not to make any noise that would wake up members of the public. But I used my hair dryer to dry my hair, luckily it didn't wake up our neighbouring public.
And I think I caught the French cold over night ^^;;
Day 3 - DisneyLand Paris
I have been waiting for this day whee heart
Woke up due to overnight runny and blocked nose at 7am - too early. But it was enough time for me to pack everything up. Also watched Dora the Explorer and Titou Le Lapinou again x] &3
Ended up coming to breakfast early. Had baguette with skimmed butter and cheese, a chocolate filled bread roll and 2 cups of orange juice.
Went back to rooms to double check stuff. Packed everything into coach and off we go!
It was raining and dull outside -______-;;; There was a moving floor thingy there, it was fun xd Cos you can slide on it xp Got to entrance still raining, everyone got hyper xp They had to check our bags and stuff. We were told to meet at the entrance to main street at 1pm and 3:30pm We setted off down Main Street and off to Fantasyland =D Went on It's A Small World, it was awesome, I loved the song =] Then went on the carousel, it was alright. Off to Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventure land. It was well good. Dark ride and rollercoaster like. Had 2 steep drops with splash endings. Couldn't take very good pictures cos it was really dark in there &.@ Went to discovery land and gone on the Space Mountain ride. It was awesome &3 I couldn't count the number of times we done a 360. But it was well cool x] &3 Got a photo as a souvenir with me and my friends on the ride for €12, even though I look scarily like my mum in that pic o.O;;;;; Went back to main street cos it was almost 1pm, had to wait for the teachers cos they were late. Went shopping and gone to lunch after meeting up. I had a lightly buttered baguette with cheese and pickles. Was going to buy a hot chocolate but didn't have time. Went shopping and bought 4 lollopops for €10, they were €2.50 each. Saw the parade over 5 times. It had some funky music with it xd The people were in costumes dancing on the train that went by. It happaned so many times @.@ I really wanted to go to the Haunted mansion in Frontier land especially Buzz Lightyear ride where you shoot stuff...but we didn't have time ;_______; &//3 The Buzz Lightyear ride's queue was sooo long. I also bought a mick mouse shirt for €5.90 and a Pirates of the Caribbean shirt for €5.90 also ^^ &3 We were late heading back from Adventure land to Main Street to head back to the coach for the journey home. By the end of the day everyone's legs were soaked. The inside of my shoes were filled with water and my jeans were soaked up to my knees, and my foot was aching like hell, it wasn't a pleasant feeling at all gonk
On the coach I remembered to eat my travel sick pills. We were almost near Calais and stopped somewhere to eat dinner. I had chips, steak and a salad. Drinks weren't included. We wouldn't have had dinner if we went to Stade de France on day 2. So the dinner was a replacement for not going to the Stade de France.
Got to the port around 8pm-ish...? Given our passports back. Went on the ferry. The water was pretty choppy. Everything was swaying around a lot more that it did when we went on day 1. I remembered that I had to spend all of my coin euros. So I spent €3.15 - I think, on a cheesecake which I thought was tirmisu D=& Ah well...the cheesecake was nice...better than the cruddy fruit ones from Tesco and Sainbury's &.& I didn't feel sick at all after eating that. Well my friend was, she just drank a coke that she bought, so I ended up drinking the rest for her. Went to the arcades, went on Time Crisis twice, Out Run once, and Word Up 5 times, would've played Word Up 6 times if only the teachers didn't pull us away from it since we've reached land stare scream Went on coach, saw some drunken like men near some car reving as if they were about to compete with someone else.
On the coach I tried sleeping but people had to keep shouting and stuff...so I had to put my MP3 to high volume...which made me go to a light sleep...woke up when I heard a load of "TESCO!" shouts from people. Beth and Jordan (some boy from my class) was surprised that I could sleep through all that noise and wake up just in time when we were near Ipswich lol When we were near Tesco I phoned my uncle to pick me up since my dad was at work in Stowemarket and phoned my mum to tell her I'm near Tesco.
When we got the school, to my surprise, my dad was there instead of my uncle, apparently my dad came home from work early and saw my uncle and said he'll pick me up from school. As I came out of the coach I was really tired, my feet was feeling really weird and crinkly &.&;;;
I'm so glad that I was able to sleep in my good old bed again when I got home x] Even though I found out that my foot has gone crinkly and demented. And now its heels are aching like hell Dx
