(continued from Mage)
Of all this, from where do their powers stem? How did they obtain these immense gifts? Let the story of origin begin. Let it rise and answer our questions, our vast, endless questions.
"Can't believe they made me get a job! A job! Well....it has its perks." said Foo. She sat on the edge of the pool. Alone, just she and an empty public pool. "Clean up after hours, and no swimming. Right. Like that will stop me." she said, rolling her eyes all the while. Foo made her way to the board.Nothing wrong with that, right? One foot, one, single step at a time. Reaching the end of the board, she dove in. She continued to enjoy herself; light on in the pool and more than a few hours after closing. Completely alone. Tired though she was, she still had work to do. "One last dive." she panted. "One last dive." Once more to the end of the board. A few bounces for height. Then the plunge, that fateful plunge. Water engulfed her, swarming every sense as her head pounded. With her height and angle, the dive had landed her right on the breakoff into the deep end. She had hit the shallow part! Water rushed into her mouth, flooding her. "NO! This ca't be happening!" her mind screamed as darkness over took her.
Walming in the woods, Soubi was enjoying himself. He and Rowan were meeting at The Clearing, a place all of the five knew well. A stormwasslowly making its way in,but it wasn't a concern. Both he and Rowan planned to be back at home before it reached them. It was scarcely moving at all. He entered a small meadow, meerly a clearing in the trees where the grass grew long and tall. She wasn't there but, then again, he was early. Looking at his watch, he realized he was an hour early! "Last time I early! Geez. I've got some kind of time to kill!" Without warning, a crack of thunder and a flash of lightning split the silence like a knife. A form falls to the ground, motionless.
Rowan started to run. The storm had exploded into a full blown burster, filled to the brim with fury. She had to hurry. Soubi was out at The Clearing and there were all kinds of tornado warnings for the area! To make matters worse, she had seen a strike near The Clearing! "Gotta hurry! It's getting bad and we need to get inside." she said between breaths as she ran. "Almost there." She made it. But where was Soubi? She wasn't that late. "Soubi!" The storm hadn't loosed its rains, not yet anyway. The clouds were dark and growing ever the more darker. Then she saw it. A swirling mass of wind and debris. "No. Why now? There's nowhere to run. Stop. PLEASE STOP!" Then she was swallowed by the darkness, the smell of damp dust and grass swarming in. Someone was nearby, but who? And in this weather?
The storm was now on the outskirts of town. Nee wasin the car with her parents. Returning from a trip which all of the five wished to go one as well. Such is the bane of the teen, no? They stop for a bit, just to strech thier legs. The storm was on the opposite side of town so no danger was in sight. They get home a Nee takes her stuff to her room. Her things included a beautiful flower from thier trip. In a silver pot full of rich dirt with a flower, not unlike a lily, thoguh it was of a blood red hue. A clap of thunder made her jump, bumping the table where her flower sat. She fell to the floor, a hard fall unknown to her parents. She fell amongst the dirt left by that beautiful flower's fall. "Why" she thought. "A storm now?" And the darkness took her.
Out with her camera in the dark, set on video for the perfect strike. Tsume loved pictures of lightning. Though she lacked the speed to catch one. She resigned to videos. "Come on! Give me one good one!" Bolts were flashing but none were within her camera's view. "Come on!" she screamed. Challenging the sky to give her its all. A bolt cut through the air. Her camera recording. "Beautiful!" She was about to stop the recording when a bolt struck a tree near her. Recording off the flames licked at the tree. It crashed down near her; smoking choking her, dulling her senses. "Figures. Dad was right...I should be inside when this goes on..." were her thought as she fell. Fell deep into the darkness.
The storm poured down rain. The wind whipping the rain in jagged spurts. It poured and no one thought of our heros. And what of them? The clock drew to midnight, the storm a meer rumble in the sky. All was still, but in certain places, forms stirred deep in the night. Different forms, changed. And yet, they were familiar forms.

Next installment will come later. I'm to the end of my writing wit at the moment. Plus....my hand hurts. Please leave comments. I'd like to know how it goes over with everyone.
