Walking from the sand village to Konoha, Temari sighed. It had been so long since she had been here and she even forgot how long the walk from Sunagakure to Konoha was. She walked over to a bench she saw and sat down. She sighed. "Man, Im fricking tired already. Of course, all three of us are. Arent we Kan-" She paused when she turned around and didnt see her brothers. She stood up quick. "KANKURO!!! GAARA!!! Oh no.. I think I lost them... not good," She told herself, biting her lower lip. She ran over to where she had entered and stopped to see her brothers collapsed on the ground asleep. She blinked and began to laugh.
Gaara and Kankuro woke up to her laughter and quickly stood up. "Sorry, Temari!" They screamed. She laughed even harder. "Whatever. Lets just go find a place to stay," she told them, still laughing. She walked a bit towards a hotel but stopped and looked over at a nearby spot. Who was that man she wondered, but then realized who it was. She screamed, "ITS YOU!!!!!!!" The guy turned towards her and it was Shikamaru Naara! She had fought him in the chuunin exams at one time. Her eyes widened when she saw him. She ran over to him, leaving her brothers behind to go to the hotel, and smiled at Shikamaru. "Well, Well Well," she began to say, "If it isnt Naara Shikamaru. Its been a while, hasnt it, hmm?" She asked him, giving him a smirk. Shikamaru turned to her and gave a small smile. "Yeah it has. Its such a drag, too. So, anyways, I take it your here for the chuunin exam? Man, what a drag. Were already chuunin and there making us take the exam again for no reason. It is such a pain!", he said, stretching out his arms.
Temari blinked at him. He was super lazy but there was something about him she liked. She sadly didnt know what it was, either. She looked away from him. "Well, I better go to find my br-" she began to say until she was cut off by Shikamaru. "Hey Temari, want to hang out tonight?" He asked her. Temari could feel her face getting bright red. She snickered. "Sure. Why not? Just dont consider this a date, ok? Cause I would never date someone like you. Meet me at my hotel tonight then," she told him, walking away. Shikamaru nodded and turned back to what he was originally doing which was playing a game of Shogi against his sensei, Asuma.
Temari ran into the hotel where she was stopped by Kankuro. Kankuro blinked. "There you are. We've been looking for you. Come on, we need to get our reservations now. We have freereservations since were in the exam," Kankuro said with an evil smile. Temari nodded and got the reservations. They were each in a separate room. Gaara was in room 143 on the top floor , Kankuro in room 234 on the middle floor, and Temari got lucky and was on the first floor in room 23. She began panicking. They never chose a time! Eh, she didnt care. She walked over to her bags and pulled out a simple outfit otherwise known as her every day outfit. She quickly put it on the bed and ran and got a shower. She put on her outfit after her shower and dried her hair and put them back up in also, her usual hair style.
She quickly ran outside, considering it was almost seven, and waited. She waited for fifteen minutes and he never showed up. She growled. She ran down to where she knew he was staying and knocked on the door. Shikamaru op[wened it. "Temari? Oh sorry. It was such a pain to get up that I completely forgot." Temari rolled her eyes. "Yeah whatever. Lets just go," she told him, grabbing his arm. They walked for a while and talked. Temari didnt understand. She liked Shikamaru but it felt like she liked him more than just a simple friend. Like she wanted to be with him. No way! She would never want to be with a lazy a** like him! After walking for so long, they stopped at a beach. Shikamaru layed down a blanket and layed down. Temari walked over to him and blinked. "what are you doing?" she asked.
Shikamaru looked at her and patted a spot next to him on the blanket. "lay next to me," he told her. She gasped but did and blushed a bit. Shikamaru sighed. "You know, I knew this would be such a drag to do this but Im honestly glad I did. Even though your quite troublesome," he told Temari. Temari growled and was getting ready to hit Shikamaru till she stopped. "But, even though your really troublesome, I like you and I have to say your quite pretty." Temari blushed. She leaned up a bit and smiled at Shikamaru. "Your not bad looking yourself," she told him. Temari blinked and leaned down towards Shikamaru and kissed him. Shikamaru and Temari both blushed but kissed for a few seconds and then ended the kiss. Shikamaru stared at Temari and smiled. Temari smiled back. He sighed. "Hey Temari, look up," Shikamaru told her. She layed her head on Shikamarus chest and looked up. "The stars are beautiful tonight, aren't they?" She asked. She waited for his answer and then after a few seconds, looked at him. He fell asleep! Temari smiled and layed her head back on his chest and fell asleepo, knowing she would remember this day forever.
