Chapter FOUR: Love notes never sent...
Dust flew every which way causing Terrence to periodically sneeze as he cleaned Darien’s room in dim light. It took two hours to sweep out the room, which had gathered much dust since being locked seven years before. Once he finished this task he changed the light bulb and turned on the light to see that Darien’s room was no different than any of the other rooms. The walls were painted off-white almost beige and the bed was wooden framed. There was a desk in the corner of the room and a dresser against the wall closest to the bathroom. Next to one of the windows there was a window seat with a drawer below. This puzzled Terrence, for there were no window seats in any other rooms. The drawer too bewildered him. Without thinking he bent down and opened the drawer finding a pile of diaries in no particular order. Reaching in slowly, he pulled the top diary out and opened it, almost immediately folded pieces of paper fell out. They were all marked with small hearts and the words, TO: Terrence. Terrence gulped, and picked one up, bit his lip, and slowly unfolded it.
Dear Terrence, I do not know how many times I think of you in a single day, but I know it is more than once. We have spoken on the phone twice, but I remember your voice as if it were the only I ever heard. Someday I will see you again, and I hope that it is soon, but not if I am in danger. I am constantly in danger. Terrence, do me a favor, take me far from here where I will forever be safe. I hope to see you again. Love, Darien♥
Terrence dropped to his knees, “Dar…you…you really love me…”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah this is a really short chapter, and it's as far as I've gotten so far. I haven't had much of a chance to write because of my classes and photography work so I'll work on it all next week.
