Averages are so misleading.

For two whole months we just had four inches of snow, incredibly far below the average.

Now we have had a huge blizzard for two days, and suddenly our yearly snowfall totals are back to average!

Some future weather student will look at the winter of 2007 and say "Oh that was just an average year".

But it hasn't been; it's been crazy!

There is no way to say "crazy" in statistical records though.
