It was horrible. I just got back from seeing it, and I've read the book twice. If you're thinking of seeing it, DON'T!!! It makes no sense if you haven't read the book, and if you have, be prepared to be dissapointed. The story line is changed so drastically and so much was cut that it isn't worth seeing. The effects are horrible(especially if you've seen Lord of the Rings) and and, I'm runnig out of stuff to vent about!!! eek Here's a list that'll make my thoughts make more sense...

Good Stuff

-Saphira is very cute as a hatchling
-The actors were good, with what they had to deal with...
-Good effects on the Ra'zac and Durza's shadow/dark magic dragon and Durza
- And that's all I can think of...

Bad Stuff

-It's too short
-Too much is cut for it to make sense.

Cut or Changed Stuff (this falls under bad stuff)

-the dwarves, completly
-the twins (evil magic users who come back in the second one and are a major part of it)
-The fact that Brom DIDN'T want Eragon to go the Varden in the book and wanted him to in the movie
-Saphira suddenly grew and went from being a cute tiny dragon to one that cuold speak and eragon could ride
-Arya is suddenly weaker
-Most the background on characters
-the Varden

There's too much for me to mention about what was changed or cut, so I'll stop now cause if I did type it all(which I can't cause I can't even remember all the stuff they did) it would take you forever to read it and this page would be five miles long. Just don't go see it unless you want to be dissapointed, if you've read the book, or confused if you haven't.
