Someone posted this is Gaia's GD (General Discussion)...
Myself, being born into a rich family can honestly say that if your family makes like than 250,000 a year net income you are part of the problem. Being poor alone is a testament to your lack of contribution to society. If you really, really contributed then you services would be more valuable and you would make more money. If poor people were just to try not to be poor I’m sure with their effort they could go back to school and do something with their lives. Poor people are 263% more likely to commit homicide than I rich person. WTF, if that many of them are willing to kill someone I’m sure that they are 1573% more likely to steal. Also. In September 11th all of the highjack were poor. Something needs to be done about poor people before they harm you! Also, they just look gross. They can’t afford designer close, with out those they can’t be happy. Also it makes my unhappy when I have to look at them. Discuss: poor people, ruining ever thing and that poor people ruin everthing.
Now whether or not this person was joking or simply bored and looking for an argument, I don't know. I find all too often this attitude to be the case. Even the poor try to pretend their not poor. Why is one way of life seen as better than another? Why is it the monied always disparage the poor and tell them they need to get their lives together, grow up, stop being lazy and/or uneducated? When did intelligence ever mean one was better? I hear and see many intelligent individuals saying countless things. But so far nothing they've said makes any sense when it comes to why people are poor and their words sound more like prejudice. Jesus said it best when he said to his disciples, " You will always have them with you. " meaning that the poor would always be there until his father changed things. But he went on to say, " But pray to the master for more workers. " meaning that instead of not doing anything, pray to God for more help so the poor could be helped. Just like in those days the poor are still here and fairing badly. It's not their fault their poor. It's mans imperfect system of doing things that makes things accessable for some, but not for others. It's unfair and another example of why we need Gods kingdom.
But on a lighter note I replied to the person...
Why thank ye fur the complymentaries thar, govna! Rich does not and never will equal good or right anymore than it will ever equal bad or wrong. Unless of course you suffer from cranial rectal inversion, and that affliction affects both rich and poor!
