So, two days ago, Nobu-chan passed into the realm of dead fishies, joining various goldfish of mine, other bettas, (all of whom I owned as a child and don't remember their names) Cleante, Murmur, Faust, Trukasa and Elmire.
It was sad too, because I had been about to go buy him a new heater. However, I got a new fish. Lord Henry Hector. Yes, named after that wonderful Dorian Gray character.
I seem to have better luck if my pet's name comes form a character in classical literature.
He's a little bit fatter than Nobunaga, he swims more, he knows how to hide and keep calma dn he eats differently.
He likes to pers ehis little fishy lips, then open them wide right before he strikes. Nobunaga didn't open his mouth until he got real close to teh food real slowly and then just nibbled. Lord Henry is an excellent hunter.
So, while I miss Nobu-chan, I am also happy that Lord Henry is a good fish.
Rest in Peace, Nobunaga. And Long Live Lord Henry!
