A Child's Sorrow
Is that it, then? My story's at it's end?
You left me in that horrid room, my ashes at the wind.
'We must not let her return' he said, and off you went,
Vengence may have made me dust, but still my heart was rent.
Such pretty scarlet tears you shed, tears you shed for me
For your lover, for your daughter, for your child travesty.
Your immortal kiss you gave me, and he made me what I am,
That time that was so long ago and yet seems close at hand.
You were shocked, but held me close, and my father smiled
He loved his family; his companion, and his immortal child.
He made me for you, so you'd stay at his side.
He was selfish, and wicked, the things he would hide
But I cannot help wanting what we had before
That precious illusion those portraits bore.
I want to go back, if only we would...
But my tears cant fix things! If only they could!
Can a 'sorry' amend the things I have done?
The words that I screamed, the things I had schemed
For starting a battle that could never be won?!
Can you forgive me now, Father? Take me back home.
I'm lost, and I'm cold, and I'm left all alone.
First one was definately better I think...what about you?
