Backstory:
Yurariko is the illegitimate child of the Gaian Titan Auravatar, (aka as "the bringer of sunshine to humankind" by the humans) having paired with a mortal gaian man and humble gardener by the name of Oisin. When Yurariko was born at first her birth was seen as a disgrace though she would be allowed into he family fold because her grandfather Ioris , Titan of order among the humans and titans, adored her mother Auravatar greatly out of his three eldest children. But when Auravatar was framed by her estranged husband another Titan by the name of Lunisminum ( "Retainer of the Moon" ) for a brutal attack on Ioris that left the god in coma or an eternity sleep, the sun goddess was cast from her golden seat in heaven and cursed to live a life on earth where she was stripped of her godly adornments and the custody of her daughter Yurariko. By then Yurariko was only a toddler and despite her relation to several members of the divine court, she too would be sent away but to reside within a pocket world of Fusang, floating beyond the plane of Gaia who's purpose was to serve as the pleasure quarters and ethereal paradise visited by the gods and other prominent immortals. This pocket world is inhabited by the undying souls of former humans given life a new in Fusang in exchange for their eternal service to the overseeing witch and seer Ryuura whom the child Yurariko would be entrusted to, to be raised and be schooled in being a entertainer though the house of dolls of that Ryuura managed wasn't in the business of selling silver dreams to budding starlets but rather it was place where class and beauty met with sin and depravity for the girls who lived there sold not only their skills but their bodies as well.
As a child Yurariko would grow, she observed those around pawn their souls for eternal life, to become the pets and playthings of divine beings where the only way out was to be purchased by a customer and be taken away from Fusang for good. Because of Yurariko's heavenly bloodline the girl would be spoiled and shown favoritism by the witch Ryuura while at the same time being morphed into a perfect pupil of hers, a living doll,an apprentice witch, and performing artist who entertained as well as the women who boarded with her but Yurariko would be not be forced the to do same work because of the privilege her blood afforded her. Instead she would sing her songs and create the illusion of a fantasy world within the golden cage created by her guardian Ryuura, watching as her working sisters would do as they were told and there was nothing Yurariko could do but allow the witch to raise her like an exotic bird for whom only the greatest of the great could dream of possessing in exchange for kingdom castles and starborne gems. When Yurariko came of age it would be arranged for he to be bought and sold to the very man who both husband and betrayer to her her mother, the mad man Lunisminum could not posses and control the sun so instead he would try to do so to her daughter. Yurariko would eventually discover the truth about the god who sought to posses her and upon the day she was to be taken away by him she would attempt her escape, the eighteen year old girl would steal her mother's heavenly blade which Lunisminum had kept as a trophy, giving the god an ugly scar upon his otherwise perfect face and using the magic Ryuura had taught her to leave Fusang, diving into the inner-dimensional abyss that would eventually bring her to the realm of Gaia.
Appearing on the outskirts of Barton town the girl would lay unconscious beneath a hulking maple tree, her mother's sword and birthright cast from her, the weapon was later picked up and swindled by Nicolae who happens upon her lifeless body. Though the thief would not leave her alone, for some reason even a scheming money hungry wagon man like himself felt the need to bring her into town to the hospital, leaving her there to recover and when she awoke and found her sword missing only to discover it had been Nicolae responsible she marched out of the hospital and found Nicolae with Cresento at their ship, the girl demanding the return of her blade and despite her begging Nicolae would not give it up, claiming that he saw it as payment for having carried her back to town instead of leaving her to her fate and even when Cresento had demanded the sword be given back there was nothing the ship captain could do for Nicolae had outfitted the ship's core with the sword, using it's innate magic energy to run the ship, allowing to run far beyond it's capability without the need for any fuel. For Nicolae and Cresento to give up the sword now they required a great deal of money, trillions of gold coins was the asking price and Yurariko had no money to give. So the girl would return to town empty handed and with a lingering resentment for the curly haired wagon man but there was nothing she could do but try and find a way to survive in this strange new world and to do that she needed a job and a place to stay or face roaming the streets. She would drift from place to place, trying to find a job even if it was meager work. After hours of searching she would come to a stop outside of a cafe where she would wait and try to gather her thoughts when it suddenly began to rain. Using her magic, Yurariko would shield herself from the rain and in the process she would attract the attentions of a quirky wizard and shopkeeper named Brennivin who had come by the cafe to purchase a girly tea drink and a box of Kleina, a type of Nordic pastry. His former assistant Kanoko had recently left her position at the Dernier Cri shop to start up her own business leaving it short staffed so Brennvin offered Yurariko the opening at his shop, desiring her mainly for her magic skills that would help to cut the workload in half at Dernier Cri and because he needed a new "short girl" working at the shop. Despite how odd this stranger seemed Yurariko would take his offer and was virtually kidnapped and taken back to Dernier Cri where would work for him, helping to manage the shop while having to deal with Brennivin's unusual behavior and being referred to as the "new short girl" instead of her true name but the girl wouldn't mind instead she tried to feel at ease working for sorcerer, hoping that he could offer some protection from whoever came searching for her after having attacked a god only to run away from the place responsible for the branded mark on her shoulder which marked her as belonging to the witch of Fusang.
