Chapter 1
The Undergraduate Duo
Inside of a factory a bat-winged girl with pink hair and glasses was doing combat with mechanized humanoids. The machines shot lasers at her as she swiftly dodged in the air. The girl then one by one kicked the machines into the bottom floor to get them out of the way. She then flew to a large computer and plugged her laptop into it. She started hacking in, but then a machine sneaked from behind. The machine raised its laser, getting readyt to fire when a boy with two swords sliced it to pieces. The girl heard the noise and looked back. She saw a man with dark-blue hair, a black outfit, a pair of angel-demon wings, and a mask with red scarf that covered his face.
"Took you long enough, Kairu." The girl said.
"Ha ha ha, I was beating up on robots, Ravenne!" Said Kairu.
"No time for talk, cover me Kairu" Ravenne continued to hack into the large computer.
"Yeah!" Kairu began slicing more machines in a frenzy. After a few minutes Ravenne finished her task.
"Let's get out of here" she said. Ravenne and Kairu ran towards the outside or the factory, taking down machines along the way. It was night time and when they made it outside they found a black thunder helicopter lying in wait for them.
"Whoa" said Kairu. The helicopter started hovering and shooting at Ravenne and Kairu as they flew around dodging the shots. Kairu lunged at the front of the helicopter with his two swords, but the swords bounced off as the armor was too thick. "What do we do."
"I have an idea." said Ravenne. "Go distract him, I'll take care of the rest."
"Hey you overgrown fly try this for size." Kairu threw energy blasts with his sword.
"Who are you calling a fly?" Said the copter pilot. The helicopter then chased after Kairu while shooting.
"You'd better have a good plan Ravenne." Kairu thought to himself. As the helicopter continued to give case, Ravenne sneaked on the lower front side of the tail.
"It's got to be here." She said. After looking around, she found a port and plugged her laptop into the tail. She began tinkering around with the system, but it wasn't long before the pilot noticed her and began spinning the copter. Ravenne hang on with all she had but quickly fell unto the ground, but her laptop was still plugged in.
"That was your plan?" asked Kairu.
"I hoped it worked." said Ravenne.
"Did you really think you could do something to me? Ha ha ha." said the pilot.
"Actually..." The screen of Ravenne's laptop showed a status bar filling up, all the way to the end. The copter began spilling out fuel.
"What's going on?!" asked the pilot.
"Have fun trying to fly without fuel." said Ravenne.
"Sizzling!" said kairu.
The copter fell to the ground, and a mysterious voice said: "And end." The factory, copter, and scattered machines all disappeared revealing a grided dark room.
"We did awesome right?" asked Kairu. A man with dark skin, blue eyes and hair, and a headband emerged from the shadows.
"Actually, it was less than satisfactory." Said the man.
"What do you mean? We finished the job." said Ravenne.
"Yes, but you made mistakes."
"Come on, Sarruee-Blade, I don't remember any mistakes." said Kairu.
"Let's review" said Sarruee. "First of all, Kairu got separated from Ravenne, just to fight more unnecessary battles. Second, Ravenne should have made sure to watch her back when she was hacking. Third, Kairu shouldn't have wasted energy throwing blasts at the copter, what if Ravenne's plan hadn't succeeded? And fourth, Ravenne should have at least tried to hide herself while hacking the copter."
"I guess I did get kind of careless... but it all worked out in the end." said Ravenne.
"Yeah, don't be such a hardass." said Kairu.
"This was just a training exercise, the real Tech Organization won't be so easy."
"Yeah you guys, train harder" said the pilot.
"Yeah right Zesphere, like you could've done better." Said Ravenne.
"Thanks for your assistance Zesphere, you're done for the day." said Sarruee.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow." said Zesphere.
"As for you two, if you ever hope to defeat the Tech Organization, you must eliminate your weaknesses. Now bye."
"Good bye." said Ravenne.
"Yeah, bye." said Kairu. The left the building and were heading home.
"So ready for our big day tomorrow?" asked Ravenne.
"Hell yeah! Our first day in AI academy. I can't wait!"
"Yeah, me too."
