Ok so the last Nuzlocke Journal entry was a trial.
I use a random dictionary adjective generator to come up with all the names to my poke'mon however I will always name my trainer Fancy because it kinda grew on me. Anyways below will be the rules I follow and I will comment every time I beat a gym, my team comp, who died and my current play time.
Rules:
Starter poke'mon determined by trainer ID. Ending in 1-3 (Grass) 4-6 (Fire) 7-9 (Water). 0 dictates my choice which should be obvious.
Shiny rule- I can catch shinies if I encounter them however I am not to be purposely hunting or soft-resetting to get them.
This Nuzlocke I will only be allowed to catch a poke'mon in a rustling grass, bubbling water, or swirling dust area.
Identical Clause- If I encounter the same poke'mon in a different area I can opt out if I want to.
Poke'mon are considered dead if health reaches 0. However I will not be purchasing revives and the only one I am allowed to revive is my starter. If I am out of revives and the starter dies too bad for me.
Poke'mon center is unlimited however I am only allowed to buy 10 healing items, 5 stat. condition items and 10 poke'balls per town (not counting Dewford, Slateport I can double this).
Legendaries are forbidden unless I really mess up later on then have a chance to rebuild my team using a groundon to weaken an fight poke'mon in areas I have not caught them yet.
I am allowed to use all rods only once (old rod, super rod, good rod).
Can only find a poke'mon via rock smash once per area. Only allowed one geodude at a time though. If one dies then I got 4 more Geodudes from different routes to utilize.
Do not have to fight every counter or trainer. You may snowball really quick and level too rapidly.
If I black or white out it's game over.
Next post after I beat the first gym.
