It's been ages since I wrote anything on here but the other day I got my hands on the latest Rune Factory titles- RF4!
After about 600 eons, the game is FINALLY released in the uk. Am I gonna wait for Christmas? Dude, I don't think so.
I've only played a little way into Spring, so this isn't a review- just my first thoughts!

The music in this game is very beautiful. I wasn't expecting too much from the get-go, but from what I've heard (town, field dungeon?) it seems to be really fitting. The music has a nice way of "blending", like when you enter and exit different areas there aren't annoying music cuts and restarts- it all flows along.

Rune Factory has all the elements of Harvest Moon while still managing to be a completely different game. The characters all seem natural and relatable, and it's fun to watch them wander around town seemingly without a schedule. Characters also stop to talk to each other, and can even have big group conversations! I was a little skeptical of how the english voice acting would be, but for the most part the voices haven't been getting on my nerves.

Combat in the game is lots of fun once you get the hang of it. It's easy to get to the first boss, but I'm not sure where to go now. (Or when I get my monster barn!)
The art is so detailed and pretty, I just stand around the village staring at all the scenery. Fantasy worlds are my life...
The game just has SO many features, it's crazy. I can't even list them. But the fact that you can have a pet dragon is enough for me. ENOUGH.

Now it wouldn't be my diary if I didn't yell about bachelors. So seriously... who the hell do I date?! I have a crush on everyone. Well, mostly Doug, Arthur and Vishnal, but you know. I don't think I'm ready for Dylas or that weird peacock wolf prince to be introduced... And don't even TALK to me about girls. FORTE. CLORICA. Need I say more?

In any case, I may post my reactions as the game progresses, if I remember~ Look forward to it! 3nodding
