bought mom a book about designing a garden for mother's day. she loved it, and has already been showing us her favorite ideas from it lol.
and that wasn't even what I was planning to get her... hah.
been gardening all day. playing with tons of color this year~
friday karen and I went on a college visit and went shopping afterwards. got two new pairs of shoes, bottles of glow-in-the-dark nailpolish, and scarves.
almost got a certain dress. I was falling in love with it fast, but I knew I'd never wear it in its state. (it's a maxi with weird straps and an unflattering back (BUT THE FRONT IS FLIPPING ADORBS))
so my favorite thing about being home tonight: i always have a sketchpad and a pen at the ready for ideas and sketches for more dresses. bahaha~~
this newest one will be in a more informal color/fabric/style. still halter (mayhaps altered a titch), and I'll play with the front like the dress I tried on. the back will be a little different, with the straps not coming directly down. probably combine it with another dress I saw someplace... and it'll be closer to knee-length than ankle-length. even thinking about putting a skort under there so it's super comfy for just chillin' out in the summer. ^^
