You remember when I used the two groups of moon elves to get the dark elves to their village safely? Originally I had intended for there to be three groups, but... The third group of moon elves was nowhere to be found. Using their own tracking magic (which is very efficient) I tracked them to a forest, where they seemed to just sink into the ground. I assumed it was quick sand. I would've investigated further, but I was short on time.
When I had more time, though, I came back... but before I actually went to the forest, I was ambushed by a group of mountain elves. (I'm pretty sure mountain elves are what Santa's helpers are based off of... as my friend says, they're beardless, skinny dwarves more than they're elves, if you judge by appearance.) They used a lot of ice magic... I don't like ice... But anyway, they were easy to defeat, as all I had to do was pin them down with the wind. What surprised me, though, is that they had an avariel (winged elf) among them. The wings are a cause of magic interfering with the gene process... I won't get into that. Magical things happen with elves--that's all you need to know. xp
The avariel said his name was Salga. I was fascinated by him, as I had never before met an avariel. His wings were massive in comparison to his height. Salga was also the only one I met who wasn't racist...
I asked him and the other mountain elves about the forest, and they all said the same thing--it was solid ground. Confused, I asked Salga to go there with me. I went to the spot where I could still see the aura of the moon elves sinking into the ground. But they were right. The ground was shaped oddly, but it was solid.
I decided to come back later, once I had sorted things out in my mind.
