Katherine opened the door to her chamber, then showed Nathell to her own bedroom.
Nathell walked in and laid her head to sleep. It had been a long day.
Meanwhile,Barderoy and Katherine were chatting in the kitchen.
"So the king is holding a banquet for Nathell?" asked Katherine.
"Yes,or so I heard. The maids have been chattering all day about it." Barderoy replied.
"I see. Well,the king certainly did have that look on his face." Katherine mumbled to herself...
"Look? What look?" her clueless husband tilted his head.
"The look that you get when I show you my skivvies." she gave an amused smirk.
"Oh my." Barderoy couldn't help but blush.
"Anyway...for some reason...I can't help but feel...uneasy..like something will go wrong." she held herself as a cold wind blew.
"No need to feel that way,my dear..." Barderoy held her and tenderly kissed her...
Katherine melted at the kiss and smiled. "I'm going to bed. You should,too. We have a big day tomorrow."
Barderoy nodded affirmatively and held her hand,leading his wife to the chamber to slumber.

The next morn, the two friends went to the market to buy clothes for Nathell.
"So what do you like to wear? Skirts,corsets....or are you the wild type,and wear leggings?" Katherine inquired.
"I like corsets. Rarely wear leggings,though."
"Alright. This is a maiden's shoppe,come on. We'll get you a new gown."
After trying on a plethora of dresses,they found what they wanted and returned home to prepare for the night's festivities.

Later in the night, the banquet was being held. The majority of the townsfolk were there, and many high-held heads of royalty were there,too.
As Nathell walked into the ballroom,trumpets sounded and the guests cheered and howled.
"Introducing our guest of honor,Nathell! The beautiful maiden whom our noble knightess has rescued!"
The sea of people parted as the king and his Harold moved to the maiden,music playing to the pace of his steps.
"Nathell...I warmly welcome you to our kingdom. Because you have been saved by our highest knight in authority,you will be honored,higher than the highest cardinal in the kingdom. Come,take a seat next to me,if you like. Or you can dance with your future friends,if you please."
The maiden couldn't help smiling. "I'll dance with the knightess who rescued me."
"Very well,my dear." he turned to the orchestra in the corner. "Maestro,play the sweetest waltz in your arrangement!"

Katherine extended her hand with a smile. "I'll lead."
Nathell nodded and they waltzed, the orchestra playing a crooked 'Coney Island Waltz'.
The two girls twirled around the ballroom. How odd,the crowd thought. Two women dancing a lover's dance?
The music transferred into a rough tango. Katherine released her partner as the king grabbed hold of her.
Then Nathell and the king spun,and as the finale came,Nathell slid to the floor with her knees and her chest facing the ceiling,her face pointed up and hair flipped back.

Silence. Nothing like that had even been done in the century.
Then a person began clapping. Soon,their was shrieking and cheering and joving and applauding.

"Now,everyone." The king smiled. "For the question you've been on edge for the whole night."
Nathell's smiling face soon became a frown.
"My dear Nathell,I shall ask you the question that this banquet was and is based upon. Nathell....will you marry me?"
