Caw... Caw... My ears came alive to the sudden noise of crows chatting in the trees around me. I took a deep breath, tasting the fresh morning air. I loved this time of day, early morning. So quiet... With the sound of birds and branches swaying in the slight breezes. One more deep breath and I open my eyes, seeing the beautiful mess of trees and buildings.
I walked back into my house, feeling fresh. Thud, The door closed behind me. I walked to the kitchen and to my slight misfortune, my breakfast was already sitting at the table, probably a little cold. Not bothering to sit down, I bent over and shoveled the two over-easy eggs down into my mouth and gulped a whole cup or orange juice down.
"Why so in a rush, Ren?" My mother said, seeming curious.
"I just am," I hurried to be outside again.
"Wait, sweetie, I want to give you something!" Mom called out to me while I was halfway through the door.
"What? What?" I said exited.
She said nothing but just got out a necklace from her pocket. I cocked my head to the side.
"I've been wanting to give this to you, but I lost it, so now..." She then smiled.
With one swift swipe, I grabbed it and continued to hurry, "Thanks, mom!"
As soon as I was out the door, I ran to about half way down the street. With a quick thought, I took a look at what was in my hand, a beautiful chain necklace with a large wooden charm.

Uh... That's just a random writing piece I wrote randomly a while ago. I just felt like posting it. Please tell me what you think of it, if you don't mind.
