Long ago, two families ruled over feuding kingdoms. But two children, a princess from one nation, the prince of the other, were long childhood friends and secretly loved each other. The young man, named Azuralith, gave his love, Kallamarella, an enchanted pendant, saying that when they were forced into permanent separation the pendants would guide them back to each other. Unfortunately, they were forced into arranged marriages, and never saw each other again after that day. The two pendants were passed through the generations until they reached two orphaned servants, a tavern maid named Kalli and a boy simply called Az. Kalli and Az grew up together and were close friends. Little did they know of the twin pendants, their powerful secret, and the link to their pasts.
