Everyone say they want a perfect life. A perfect life as in; we can look beautiful, wear whatever we want, do whatever we wanna do, no stress, no tests, make friends easy as pie, have money, and so on.
Isn't that Gaia?
In Gaia, we 'can' look beautiful, if we have the items. And everyone can have the items. Thus, everyone can look beautiful. We are free to change the way we look, the cyber-version of plastic surgery. Feeling emo? Dark avatar. Feeling cute? Just use Mana Seed or Angelic Manner.
In Gaia, we can wear whatever we want. Yeah, show off your pixels like a whore, no one cares. There's no one stopping you, no parent going WTF ARE YOU WEARING.
In Gaia, we can do whatever we wanna do. We can drive cars, go watch movies, go hang out in towns, go fishing in the blink of an eye, fight animated monsters, you name it. Even at 3 in the morning.
In Gaia, there's no stress. What is there to stress about? Drama? If you don't like someone, just delete them off your friends list and click 'ignore'. Presto, never have to deal with them again.
Money? Just play zOMG or games for a couple hours, buy a cash card, you can get 100k+ in less than a day. If you made a horrible mistake and embarrassed yourself or some other matter, just make a new account, transfer all your items, and bam. You have a whole new life. A clean slate, whereas, if you say, got pantsed in school, you can't start over at another school just 'cause you got pantsed.
In Gaia, to make friends, you just talk to a random stranger. No one discriminates [unless your a noob] and no one stares at you awkwardly. Conversations and new friends are welcomed. Try going up to a random person you don't know in a town and say I LIKE WAFFLES LET'S BE FRIENDS.
So, cyber-worlds ARE our perfect lives, if we make it. But can we get pulled in too deep?
