yes. 'twas a beautiful day today...... frustrated with the printer and impatient with the ACT scores and nervous about where for sure i want to go to college & for what, but still................
yes. college on the brain tonight. AGAIN. stare my now first choice NWC is where most of dad's side of the family has gone to college, and my second is where my mom's side of the family has gone.
there are a few kickers that make NWC my top choice:
absolutely gorgeous campus
possible pep band (yess!!)
near civilization
they have a tunnel. for winter coldness.
epic dorms (fact: when they were building the campus, they weren't sure if it would take off as a college so they designed the dorms to work as hotel rooms just in case. that means each has their own PRIVATE BATHROOM. x])
*big sigh* now i just need to convince mom that i like it better than dordt. she's convinced i should go there, and i'm convinced i shouldn't because:
it's in the middle of a freaking corn field, an hour away from anything.
no pep band
super small campus (combined w/ being in the middle of nowhere=total suffocation)
not sure if the compy program is as developed as i want it to be
but the cons of NWC:
chapel. every. single. day.
no car freshman year
but when i get a car, there's the fear of it being vandalized in the Cities.
pros of dordt:
decent amount of programs to choose from
scholarship mania. as one kid put it on a review site: "Oh, you pick your nose? Here, have a scholarship!" lol.
can have a car!
close to g-ma
starting to apply to them. gonna wait another week or so because i need my lastest ACT score (hence the impatience) to report to them.
YES! i have killed the annoying fly! *does victory dance in my head*
speaking of dances, learned one at OC last night. Kinda interesting... how funny that one of the Cardettes picked it up the fastest lol.
dunno what I should do with my sunday mornings now. I'm not a teacher, and i'm not really helping out with anything besides choir stuff. karen, lonnie, and dad all are doing sunday school... leaving mom. and she's not even there half the time because she's off somewhere on the other side of the country doing something for ASCP. think she's like the president or something this year....
in any case, i want to go to San Fran again. I know for sure next summer I'll be going to Colorado again for Rocky Mountain High, but other than that, no big trips planned. :] i just want to chill at home and work my butt off getting some money before heading off to wherever the heck i end up going.
urg. asian beetles are back. yep, it's fall.
