Reading a new book. What else is new? xD. Well this book is on my summer reading list for high school. Blah. It's called Go Ask Alice It's about this fifteen year old,who gets mixed up with the wrong crowd of friends and eventually she gets hooked on drugs really badly. It's a diary;and a true story. The author is anonymous though.
So here's a part of the book that stuck out to me:
" A raindrop just splashed on my forehead and it was like a tear from heaven. Are the clouds and the skies really weeping over me? Am I really alone in the whole gray world? Is it possible that even god is crying over me? Oh no..........no....no.....I'm losing my mind. Please god,help me." ~ Page 114.
Be in mind,this part of the book is where she really realizes how bad the drugs effected her. She can't last a day without them. And even does anything to guys for her to get hands on any kind of drugs. : I don't know why,but that sentence just stood out to me. It really makes you think of how bad some addictions really are. How much some people are suffering from drugs,smoking ect but don't have the courage or sense to quit,until well,it kills you. Sad,huh?
