When your thoughts shallow,
and you can't swallow.
When you can't feel anything,
without feeling the pain.
There's only one cause,
the cause is the loss.
The loss of your light,
the only shine left.
The shine that beams,
blinds you as it gleams.
The little light that keeps your heart afloat,
that keeps the buoyancy in your boat.
But now you sink,
into the darkness; deep.
You can't find air,
and you know it's not fair.
It kills you to remember,
you were once in a slumber.
Filled with nightmares,
and hateful glares.
You sob silently in the dark,
wishing distance wasn't such a shark.
Tearing at your seams,
drawing your blood in streams.
Looking at you with cold eyes,
telling you deadly lies.
Your light kept me from drowning,
it saved me from fading to the dark.
Now i feel myself crowning,
into the pool of sorrow.
