I never realised how contradictory we all are...
I've always thought humans to be a stupid race, thinking we are better than everything else, yet at the same time, not understanding the most basic of things...
...but I never realised until I was talking to my mother, just how stupid we are...
... we were talking about whether it would be a good thing to live on a spaceship,or really anywhere other than earth... I said I wouldn't really like to live in a spaceship, but living on another planet sounded cool...
...she said something along the lines of, 'I think it would be horrible to leave behind all which Mother Earth has made for us. I wouldn't want to leave it behind unless I absolutely had to.'
Mother Earth? She's christian... aren't we christians supposed to believe in God creating all we know?
...I think I am changing what I'm talking about....
...but still! D=
Everyone I know (personally) thinks that I'm foolish for thinking that humans are dumb and upthemselvs, they always say, 'oh, but look around, all this amazing stuff! if we were so stupid, then we wouldn't be where we are today!'
...while that is true, I seem to be one of the few who take a good look at the other side of things.
... we have cocked this world up something cronic!
'Oh but don't worry, we've learnt from our mistakes, and are working to correct them.'
SOME THINGS CAN'T BE CORRECTED! It's like trying to turn back time, it's gone into the past, and no human being can reach back and get it.
... and though we should accept that, we can't!
We are always figuring out some new machine to do what we can't be bothered doing anymore.
... why the hell do we need an electric heater, when we can have a fireplace?
oh yea, cause we're to lazy to clean them out now, we have to have something that doesn't catch fire so easily...
...WELL SO MUCH FOR THAT! EVERY GODDAMN DAY THERE IS A REPORT ON YET ANOTHER HOUSE FIRE! GUESS WHAT IT'S CAUSED BY? AN ELECTRIC HEATER!
For every step we take to our future dream, our ideal life, we are taking a step closer to the destruction of a world we hold dear, that we hold closer to our hearts than anything else.
When you collapse out of sorrow, what are you getting closer to? the earth, something solid, that, if it weren't for humans, would always be there to comfort us in our darkest hour. We do not fall to come closer to a solar system which we know nothing about.
When we die, we 'return to the earth' we do NOT return to that weird little planet at the end of our own solar system, which we named a Dwarf Planet, to make us feel big. Because humans are so stupid we can't possibly live without making something smaller than ourselves.
