What is an adult? People are always saying that us younger people can't do this or that because we are not adults. Some people might say that an adult is a person who is 18 years of age or older. Some might say it is a person that has matured to a certain extent. Others might argue that an adult is a person that is fully grown. But in different countries and different places, an adult can be many different things. Who sets the standard for what an adult is? The word "adult" is merely that: a word. It is neither right nor fair that adults think that they can use that they are adults against young people. I'm talking about when a kid does something, for instance, if they swear, an adult would act as though the kid can't do or say that just because they aren't an adult. We kids learn a lot from adults. Now the fact that we can't use some of it just because we aren't adults is just wrong. I don't believe in the word "adult", to certain extents. I find that those who say they are "adults" use it as an excuse for a lot of things. And the fact that they use that excuse shows that they are afraid of people that aren't "adults" showing them up, or that they will lose what control they have over said people that aren't "adults".
