Prologue
I knew that I shouldn’t be doing this. No right, no justified reason was there in the back of my head that gave me a reason for doing this. Even if it was just a dream. Or just a nightmare. Who knows this isn’t some nice lollipop dream where I follow the golden brick road or whatever. This was something out of the norm even for me. Because I don’t usually dream of breaking and entering. Even if the house was abandoned. But since I never have any real control in my dreams I guess I just better pay close attention.
I heard a soft scuttle on the wood floor as I entered the dusty old attic. Feeling like one of those dumb people who think there might be somebody else here when there usually isn’t I whispered, “Anyone there?” I mean there can’t be anyone here because the house was locked up and it seemed like the house had been locked up for years. That is what my brain kept telling me even though me and my brain refused to believe it. I walked farther and farther from my only escape. Another scuttle came and I held my breath. What could possibly be in this attic beside me and an immense amount of dust? I needed to get out of there because I was reaching a major freak out level. Just as I was about to run out of there. I noticed three things. One, the attic window was wide open letting anyone the chance to climb in. Two, there sitting on one of the chest was a crème colored necklace that was so beautiful ,so old and antique looked with is intricate old world design, yet so delicate and breakable that you could hardly notice that it was an oval locket. And third, a black mound of fur growled.

I plan to write my book down in this. That way other people can review it before I publish it.
