Story/Personality: Long story short, Christian is a homosexual Catholic from the middle ages.

He was originally a joke character in Soul Calibur III, but I liked him so much he grew into his own entity in the larger scale of my story. His history is still foggy because I haven't completely assimilated him, but his personality is quite clear.

Christian, now a friend of the Desanges and a member of their "clan", was formerly a priest who, upon falling in love with a French pirate, came to the realization that he was, in fact, gay. Excommunicating himself from the Church (but not his beliefs) before they did worse, Christian followed his lover until the tragic moment of his death. Christian lived on, and remains alive to present day, probably with the help of our protagonist Edge Desanges. Though Edge finds Christian's predicament hilarious, Christian himself is in a constant state of mental distress due to the contradicting states of his sexuality and his beliefs. He has not renounced God nor will he ever, and it saddens him to know that the Catholic belief system shuns his sexuality. Despite that, he remains faithful.

Christian is a good man with a pure soul and kind intentions, which annoys the Desanges to no end. His best friend is a cat burglar named Viona l'Ayern, and with her help as well as the Desanges, Christian has slowly begun to embrace that he can be as gay as he wants without feeling the need to fear his God for it. Unfortunately, this state of mind is not shared by his peers, and he still has a difficult time living his dichotomy.

Christian wields a scythe and has the power of judgment, that is, to be able to sense the sins of someone simply through touch. He can only sense the sinner and his general fault; he can't see the specific crime, when and where it was performed, or to whom the sin was committed. He can also cast wards, shields, and other forms of protection, as well as minor healing; all things one would expect of a man of God.

The oldest of the group in terms of mortal age, Christian also acts as something of a father figure or authority to keep the others in check, and is also the go-to guy when someone needs to speak to someone in confidence or ask for advice. He is patient, kind, and fair. He only tends to get angry when he senses heinous sins within someone or witnesses a terrible crime. He gets tense around Vance, who has both committed and been the victim of such terrible crimes, he exudes a muddled aura that makes Christian physically ill.

His expression is almost always benevolent and calm, unless mid-judgment, where he can be rapt with concentration or fury. He tends to ignore people when they try to offend him or be antagonistic. Christian is a very stable, sturdy man whose balanced nature is reflected in his stance.

Wardrobe: Christian wears black, white, and gold, always has a crucifix, and requires glasses, which may be blue-tinted. Please try to stick as closely to the outfit in the references as you can.


MUST HAVES:
-Crucifix; obviously, a man of God would have one of these. His is on the smaller side and rather ornate, and he usually keeps it hanging around his neck.
-Glasses; these may be blue-tinted, but it's only optional.
-Facial hair; he's always had it and he always will.
