Joy to the world...a touchy subject in the underground. Fun to discuss...even if you get yelled at. What I'm blabbgering on about is the term emo. People say emo as if it were an adjective...which is not at all what it is. I understand I use from time to time, and am cutting down on it (no stereotypical pun intended). If you must know....emo is a genre of music started in the eighties by musicians who played the general style of punk but with a more melodic feel. Nowadays...ugh. For one...the fashion style is named "scene" not emo. For christ's sake, do your research before you know talk about things. To name a band that helped start the whole emo genre...listen to "Rites of Spring". Good stuff in my opinion, but hey, everybody's different. Just letting Gaians know what is what. So in all technicality, NO ONE IS OR EVER CAN BE EMO.
