Cold. So cold, and alone. A haunting lullaby reassures and confines. She can't break free from the cold. There is no sudden movement, only the painful slow, the cold. Scream into silence. Cold stone floors, cold stone walls, windowless life. A heart so empty, so frozen.
She wants to live, wants to burn a passion, climb into a radiant crescendo, but silence permeates this life. Longing does no good; what are dreams without a dance, a song, an action?
Instead she sulks, crawls, falls. Stumble after stumble into the cold; hear the darkness calling, tempting. Still she strives for life and warmth.
Stone still confines. Pounding, crying does no good. Cold freezes souls, eats the passions, swallows her whole.
