Hello,
My name is Summer Kellems and I am a Sophmore at Harrison High School. Currently I am contemplating being enrolled at your prestigious school and want some information.
Though first, I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I come from a less than middle class home, though my dream is to go to a good high school that I can do good at, because currently at Harrison I am not getting the education or grades that I want and know, that with the proper attention, I could obtain. I want to go to college the fall after I graduate and hope to become a lawyer. I am not sure as of now which college I'd like to go to, but I want to know soon. I do quite enjoy planning ahead and knowing what's going on around me.
Now, if you will take a look at my current transcript, you will get the wrong idea of me. I moved here about four years ago I believe, maybe five and I would like to try and explain myself, because I do realize that if I am able to enroll and go to your school, that my grades cannot, and I ensure they will not, continue to stay like they are.
In Henderson, Kentucky, where we moved from, I believe the curriculum was a lot harder than in Evansville, and I was maing fairly perfect grades. Now, my grades have taken a fall for the worse over the last couple of years because the public school system is less than adequate. There are a few good teachers that actually try an help you, but then there are those that could care less. Unfortunately for me, I ended up with a lot of the more uncaring teachers, or just classes not challenginig enough for me, therefore, my grades have done more than slipped. They fell down a landslide. I do believe if I were to be enrolled and accepted into your establishment my grades would begin to recover making my high school career more acceptable to colleges.
Once again, I'm just stateing facts as I see them and would greatly appreciate you e-mailing me back. A few of my questions were to include:
oo1: What do I have to do to enroll?
oo2: Do you think your school has a better curriculum than the public school system?
oo3: With just the information given here, do you belive I would be a good candidate for your prestigious school?
Thank you for your time and atention,
Summer Kellems
