"SERO!!!!!!!!!!! AKIRA!!!!!!!!!!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS TODAY!!" my other best friend Machi exclaimed at the top of her lungs while running down the hallway to catch us in a run and tackle hug.
Machi seemed to have a boundless energy that never seemed to run out and today was no exception, she had auburn hair that was pin straight and was pulled up into a lose pony tale. She had plae skin too and had glowing hazel eyes.
I sighed while trying to squirm out of Machi's grasp, Sero had already gotten lose and I was threatening to suffocate.
Sero chuckled darkly.
"Uh Machi you might wanna let Akira go before you cut off all of her breathing," Sero's melodic voice rang while trying to stifle her laughter.
I just glared because both of them knew how much I hated physical contact.
Machi then noticed and immediately let go off me. I staggered to the ground. I hadn't even noticed Machi had lifted me off the ground while she was hugging me. Oh the woes of being small for my age. Sometimes it was surprising at how much strength she had.
"Sorry Akira," Machi's usually cheerful voice said apologetically.
I smiled my usually small smile and just nodded "It's alright Machi," I mumbled before walking off to first period.
Sero and Machi came in shortly after me.
All three of us were greeted by Midori another one of my best friends.
Midori had sea green hair that she often dyed to annoy her mother, and light purple eyes that could pass off as one of the color in the sunsets.
"Hey," I said in a sorrowful way I knew Midori would probably be the only person I would really miss.
Midori smiled at all three of us.
"You guys stink abandoning me to face all of the preps alone," she pouted.
"Oh don't be a drama queen," Sero said sarcastically and then added "We'll all miss you."
"And it's not like we live in the stone age there is such a thing as cell phones," Machi chirped.
"It's still not the same," Midori glared.
"I know but maybe you'll be able to transfer next semester and then we'll be reunited," I said being uncharacteristically hope full.
This seemed to perk up Midori"s mood because she smiled and immediately dropped the subject.
"Okay class take your seats," the teacher commanded. All I knew was she would be someone I would not miss.
The school day went on completely normal until we almost were ready to go.
We said our goodbyes to our friends and Midori and went our seperate ways.
Machi into her parents car.
Sero on the bus to ride home with her brother Haru.
And me on my way back to the house to finish packing.
When I made it to my house it was empty. My parent's careers constantly had them on business trips leaving me to fend for myself. I however liked this arrangement seeing as my parents and don't exactly get along.
I turned and left and dragged my feet into my room and sighed.
"I should have never held this off until today now I'm gonna have to pull an all niter," I groaned before collapsing onto my bed.
