Kasumi is the leader of The Kasai Cadettes of Fieryana.She is one of the main protagonists in the series and has a strong sense of justice allowing her to focus on what all magical girls try to achieve(most of the time): defeating the bad guy.Kurayami.She doesn't want anything to happen to the people she loves or the innocent people Kurayami wants to hurt,and to protect them she is willing to go to any lengths.

Kasumi isn't a girly-girl and likes to wear tank tops,t-shirts,and jeans instead of mini-skirts,high heels,and pink clothes.She loves to play sports and practices them a lot.

A lot of people will tell you that she has changed considerably in the past couple of years.And during the series she has a lot of flashbacks that explain how she has changed and why she changed.

With both of her parents dead,Kasumi,and her sister Hisame live alone and have to deal with their rich grandparents.Who,only want to make them look rich.The two get help from Kasumi's friends,Ren,Miyako,Kairi,Sakura,and Sasuke,when they need it.They all(except Hisame) go to Sakuranbo Middle School(Home of the Kitsunes!).Kasumi makes high grades and could care less about being popular.Sakura's sister,Tamiko,who is popular, try's to make their lives miserable because she seems to have a personal vendetta with the group.
